• What is CO Gas ?
  Carbon Monoxide (CO) Gas, also known as the silent killer, is a colourless and odourless gas you cannot see, smell or taste it, and is produced during the burning of fossil fuels. (Coal, Coke, Wood, Peat, Charcoal, Gas, Oil and Petrol)
• What are the symptoms ?
  Carbon Monoxide gas replaces oxygen in the blood and produces the toxic compound carboxyhemoglobin. The initial symptoms are often mistaken for those of flu, feeling drowsy, nausea, tiredness and headache.
  Greater levels of CO in the blood can lead to brain damage and possibly death.
  It is vital that anyone suspected of CO poisoning are checked for levels of CO in their body at the scene of the poisoning, as when they are moved to another area the CO levels can reduce and subsequently give a misleading indication to the original level of CO
